Whether we want to admit it, or not, negative energy and negative people are all around us. Whether it’s someone at work who is pessimistic about any idea anyone proposes or even a friend who can’t seem to see the bright side of anything, negative people are all around us.
These people let out harmful energy that contrary to popular belief can be absorbed by the people around them. Fortunately, there are several ways you may start your day off positively. Methods many people use to rid yourself of this negative energy and cleanse yourself.
Cleanse Negative Thoughts
As one may have imagined, everything begins at home and if you don’t rid yourself of negative thoughts, negative energy will always follow you. Try your best to think positively, avoid feeling down and always look at the upside of every situation. Take events as learning opportunities and not only will you be challenged but you’re aura will be one step closer to being balanced again.
Start this by analyzing your thoughts; do you on occasion think negatively? Do you tend to have a train of thought that ends with something delusional or even paranoid? If so, do something that makes you happy. Play your favorite song, have a glass of your favorite wine, your favorite tea, do something that will alter those negative thoughts.
Discard Negative People
This might sound a little harsh but negative people are quite harmful to people looking to bring positivity back in their lives. They emit negative energy that you unsuspectingly pick up and ridding yourself of your own negative thoughts gets you nowhere if you’re surrounded by negative people. If you have a friend like this (we all do) don’t avoid them or unfriend them but just be around more positive people.
Make it a Daily Goal to Genuinely Smile
As part of your new daily campaign to bring positivity back into your life you don’t just have to feel the part, you genuinely have to look it, as well. Smiling is a great way to emit positive energy that will benefit you as well as the people around you.
This might be hard for some people to do if you’re introverted but just try it at least a few times a day and you’ll feel better about yourself, we promise.
Find the Time for a Hobby
We know adult life is hard. Trying to juggle work and a family can be very stressful and with so many things to think about, people often have a hard time looking for positive thoughts. One good way to keep your morale high and bring more positivity into your day-to-day is taking up a hobby. Whether it’s pottery, a sport, painting or gardening, taking the time to do something you love will ultimately help distract you from negative thoughts.
Incense and Meditation are Powerful Tools
Last but not least you’re going to need some time to relax and end the day off on a positive note. Once you get home and you have some time to yourself, light up a few scented candles, or incense, and while closing your eyes, empty your thoughts. Not only will this soothe and comfort you but it will also clear your mind of every negative thought.
During this meditation session you’re going to picture yourself forming a bright light around your body. Make it your priority that only positive thoughts are allowed in and that this bright light serves as a protective shield. It is up to you to see how long you keep this shield and how long it will protect you.
